The ship was refitted in 2000 and is therefore up to date with technology and all Galapagos / marine regulations are conformed with. She was originally designed for 160 passengers, but then redesigned and refitted in 2000 for service in the Galapagos Islands where regulations set a maximum of 100 people per ship.
